The God of Wonder

This week I have been pondering just how awesome God is.
The Bible says in Psalm 19 that, the heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of His hands.
This made me think about the size of the universe we live in.
 How big is the universe?
Astronomers estimate that the observable universe is about ninety billion light years across. (A light year is the distance that light travels in one year, at the rate of 186,000 miles per second).
The universe consists of countless millions of stars, planets etc. Scientists don't really know how large the entire universe is because they cannot see all of it.
Considering these mind blowing statistics, our earth is just a spec in the cosmic noise of space.
We are not here by chance!

What are some of the things the Bible says about it?
The Bible in Genesis 1:1 says that; In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth...
Psalm 147.4 says that God counts the number of the stars; He calls them by name.
Great is our Lord, and mighty in power; His understanding is infinite.
This is mind blowing stuff!
But wait it gets better!
While I am sitting on this tiny spec of dust called earth, the Bible says that God knows me; He knows every hair on my head.  He knows my every thought. (That's scary!)  I am assured that He hears my prayers; that whatever happens in my life, He has known about and sets limits too, or guided the process.
Isn't that awesome! Wow!
I hope that you can see with me how incredibly awesome God is!
I urge you to spend some time googling the NASA website or Google Sky, and consider how awesome God is for yourself.
What else?
If you are a Christian, here are 5 more awesome facts the Bible says about God:
1.    He foreknew you before the foundation of the world,
2.    He predestined you to be conformed in to the image of His Son, (the Lord Jesus Christ),
3.    He called you,
4.    He justified you because Jesus Christ died as a ransom for you,
5.    He will glorify you.

And we know that all things work together for good to those who are the called according to His purpose.  For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.
Moreover whom He predestined, these He called; these He also justified, these He also glorified. Romans 8: 28-30 NKJV.
